Am I worth only that?

I thought I was picked up to add value
I was put off hurriedly...
I was happy that I was made fresh
Realised late that it was only for a hot dip in oil...
I was happy that I was accepted the way I was
Worried for I was meant only to decorate..
Was happy when I thought there was somebody accompanying
I thought I was worth even more...
Alas!! That was my journey to the bin.
